Hi! We’re so glad you’re here. We believe there is not one set pathway to parenthood, and we feel truly blessed to be considered by you.
Our parenting goals are to provide a child with unconditional love, stability, education, opportunity, and laughter that lasts a lifetime. We hope this page gives you a glimpse into our lives, allowing you to make the best decisions for your baby. With gratitude, Mason and Megan
Relationship/Journey
We first met as teenagers through one of Megan’s closest friends, who attended the same high school as Mason. Life took us in different directions for a while and during that time, Mason became a father to two wonderful children. Years later, we reconnected and realized how much we had both grown and what we truly wanted. Reconnecting as adults gave us a deeper appreciation for commitment, family, and partnership. We chose each other intentionally and with clarity, and that foundation means everything to us. We married in 2023, and continue to build a life together with openness, respect, and a deep commitment to family. Although Mason’s sons, ages 6 and 7.5, live in another state, we make the most of every opportunity to be together. They spend holidays, long weekends, and summers with us, and those times are some of the most meaningful moments in our home. Our home is always open to them, and we cherish the time we have as a family.
Why Adoption?
Becoming parents has always been important to us, and adoption has always been part of how we imagined to grow our family. For us, adoption isn’t a second choice – it’s how we feel called to be parents. We feel honored to have the opportunity to raise our children with love, kindness, stability, and openness. In our home, your baby would grow up in a place where we go on adventures each day and eat dinner together followed by bedtime stories each night. We will dedicate our lives to helping your child be happy, successful, and greatly loved. We deeply respect how important this decision is, and we’re grateful to be considered by you.
Home
We live in a New Orleans suburb, where there is plenty to do and see! We are annual pass members for Audubon zoo, aquarium, and insectarium and love spending time learning about the animals. Just down the street from our house, there is a local farmer’s market that brings a great crowd, good music, and local goods for sale. We also live close to several parks and snowball stands. Living within 15 minutes of all things fun keeps us entertained and always on the move. When we have a day to stay home, we love to watch a movie with a large bowl of popcorn and M&Ms.
Travel
Traveling to new (and previously visited!) places is one of our favorite activities. We love to try new foods, learn different cultures, and meet new faces along the way. Together, we have visited over 15 states, 3 countries, and counting! Some of our favorite trips have been a drive up to Mount Rushmore or an island vacation to Tahiti, French Polynesia. We also love to go on cruises, especially with friends and family. No matter how far out in planning, we always love to have a vacation to look forward to in the future.
Hobbies
WHO DAT! During football season, we spend most Sundays cheering in the Dome! We hold season passes and do our best to attend every Saints home game. Other hobbies together include going to concerts, shopping at local antique stores, and trying new restaurants. Megan enjoys shopping (retail therapy!), attending Pilates classes, and reading her Kindle. Mason enjoys spending time at the movie theatre, playing weekly Pickleball games with his brother, going to local music stores with his friends, and buying movies to watch at home.
Pets
We have several furry, four-legged family members at home. Delilah, an Australian shepherd, and Winston, a Pomeranian, are the best of friends. They love to run outside and greet all visitors with enthusiasm. Our cats, Remy, Louis, and Oliver, each have their own personalities. Remy is reserved, wise, and loves toys. Louis is vocal and loves to sunbathe. Oliver likes cardboard boxes and appreciates all treats. While their personalities are unique, we love that they are all great around children. Fun fact: all 3 cats have different colored eyes!
School & Work
Growing up Mason never wanted to stay inside of his small hometown, he wanted to travel the country, never staying in one spot for too long. After high school, Mason enlisted into the US Navy Reserves and was able to see a good portion of the country. During that time, he found a love for construction and now works as a construction manager. After about 6 years working across the country in construction, he and Megan decided it was time to move home. Megan grew up knowing she wanted a career that involved helping children. She went on to work as a NICU nurse, caring for the tiniest of patients, for over 5 years before transitioning to an equally rewarding role as a pediatric nurse practitioner 2 years ago. She truly loves caring for children and their families in her community every day.
Our Extended Family
Most of our extended family members live in the greater New Orleans area or southeast Louisiana region. We spend most holidays together every year, in addition to an annual beach trip in the summertime. In a few years time, we look forward to planning a huge family vacation to Disney World. Overall, our extended family is so excited to welcome another child and shower them with love and support!
Family Traditions & Holidays
Mason’s favorite holiday is Thanksgiving, while Megan’s is Christmas – you could say we’re a house divided! We enjoy decorating both inside and outside of our home for each holiday throughout the year. Our family traditions include an annual trip to Celebration in the Oaks at City Park during Christmastime and watching the St. Patrick’s Day parade that passes by our house every year. We also love to host and attend crawfish boils, and treat each of these as its own mini holiday!
