I would say to moms who are thinking about adoption or abortion, or you're feeling overwhelmed about the pregnancy, sit down and have a reality check with yourself. If you don't feel like you can give it 110%, if you don't feel like you can truly love this child in spite of everything, and give it everything that it deserves -- all the love, attention, support, the money it takes, and just everything it takes... If you're having any doubts and feel like you cannot do this, I would just say that an adoption plan is the best thing to do. You can still be a part of your child's life. You can still talk to the parents and check on things. I just feel like you have a better conscience making an adoption plan, versus abortion, or versus you taking the baby home and neglecting it because you couldn't care for it. Don't be worried about what other people are going to say.

And single parenthood is definitely overrated. I feel like no one is equipped to take care of a baby by themselves no matter how much you think you can.

If you truly feel like you can't do it, I would suggest an adoption plan should be made because that way you can feel guilt-free about it. That's the totally most unselfish act that you can do -- to carry it for those nine months and give it to someone who can care for it. You played your part as a mother. You took care of yourself to have a healthy baby. Someone else can finish what you started. I feel like that is more guilt-free than anything.
